  1. Prepare 2 each Whole pears
  2. Make ready 1 1/2 cup Sugar

Instructions to make Caramelized Pears:
  1. Cut pears in to 4 halves and peel
  2. Melt butter in sauce pan and slowly add sugar while mixing with a wisk over medium heat until it begins to color
  3. Add pears face down to caramel sauce and reduce heat to slowly cook and caramelize
  4. Occasionally spoon caramel mixture over top of pears
  5. Simmer till hot throughout DO NOT OVERCOOK
  6. Add your choice of chopped nut, I use chopped pecans
  7. Serve alone topped with powdered sugar or serve over ice cream, it is delicious either way!!
